Brandix Casualwear

Brandix Casualwear forms the core of the Group, its flagship unit where 'inspired solutions' are conceptualised in a holistic service to its customers. The company supplies woven bottoms, basic pants, cargo pants, 5-pocket jeans, shorts and skirts; the quintessence of our product portfolio, to the world's top brands. Its seven production facilities include a state-of-the-art, fully automated denim facility which is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka.

Adding yet another milestone, not only for the country but the world too, Brandix commissioned its Green Factory in April 2008, setting a new benchmark as the first one of its kind in the country. The 130,000 square foot Brandix Casualwear plant at Seeduwa exceeds stipulated Green Factory standards for energy consumption, water conservation, solid waste management and carbon emissions

The complete conversion supports initiatives for supply chains to achieve carbon neutrality, and reduces the facility's carbon footprint by as much as 80%, achieving a 46% saving in energy a 70% cut in water consumption and zero solid waste to landfill. The new, sophisticated air-conditioning systems and ducting have greatly increased efficiency with special prismatic material in skylights letting in solar light but not solar heat.

Brandix Centre of Inspiration

Six Casualwear facilities in Sri Lanka have received GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification in the final quarter of 2007-08. These are located at Pollonnaruwa, Giritale, Katunayake, Seeduwa, Ekala and Ja-Ela.

This global recognition of organic textile authenticity standards covers the production, processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, export, import and distribution of all natural fibres. It marks the Group's first phase of initiatives to establish a fully-integrated organic certified supply chain that will enable Brandix to produce 100 per cent organic apparel for leading global brands.

Brandix Casualwear not only leads the Group in sustainability but in innovation too. The new Centre of Inspiration (BCI), a centralised facility in Ja-Ela, Sri Lanka is an ingeniously designed product design and development centre. The 270,000 sq.ft. one-stop-shop has exceeded expectations, by significantly increasing productivity.

BCI includes a central warehouse, a state-of-the-art cutting facility and centralised marketing and merchandising operations which further streamline advantages gained from the company's verticality to source woven fabric, finishing, accessories and high-end washes.
