Brandix embarked upon its strategy in mid 2006 to capture a substantial market share in the Underwear world.
This underwear business is structured with its Product Development and Front End Centre in the periphery of Colombo Sri Lanka; four manufacturing facilities in rural Sri Lanka and a large scale manufacturing facility in the Brandix India Apparel City in Visakhapatnam India.
Brandix Essentials futuristic Centre of Inspiration - Active, newly built in Ratmalana, will be a central services facility for the Group's Essentials companies in Sri Lanka and India
With a strong European and US customer base in Underwear, the business has offered a variety of products ranging from basic underwear to highly embellished, fashion underwear to its reputed brands. Victoria's Secrets, Pink, M&S, H&M and Hanes drive the larger portion of the business whilst customers such as Lane Bryant, J C Penny, Express and La Senza would drive the expansion planned in the future.
This business, which is driven by pioneering efforts has many firsts at both Brandix and in the industry and is expected to grow from its current US$55M worth of sales to beyond a US$100M in the near future.
