in Sri Lanka
In
keeping with their outreach initiative ’Water is Life’,
to provide safe drinking water for those most in need, Brandix
– Sri Lanka’s single largest exporter, together
with Reebok India, will be the main sponsor of ‘Fashion
Statement 06’ organized by the Rotary Club of Colombo
East. The proceeds will be directed to a project related
to providing safe drinking water to a needy community in Sri
Lanka.
At Brandix, this central corporate theme directs overall
community reach activities so as to derive maximum benefit
to the communities they operate within. Most recently
Brandix commissioned a desalination plant at a cost of Rs
4 million for the people of Rajapakshapura numbering over
450 families, who had never had access to free, pure drinking
water in the entire history of the village. “At Brandix
we are committed to mitigate the issues arising from inadequate
pure drinking water, a dire need for many communities in the
country” said Director Brandix Lanka, Feroz Omar.
As part of its commitment towards helping the needy and working
for the betterment of society, Reebok India will partner Brandix
in supporting Rotary Club in this initiative. Mr. Subhinder
Singh Prem, Managing Director, Reebok India Company in a statement
