Brandix Mercury Asia (Pvt) Ltd was recently awarded the Platinum Approved Employer Trainee Development status by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). The Platinum Accreditation is the highest level of award given to employers who meet ACCA's statements of best practice in all areas of training and development which is comprised of four different accreditation levels covering areas of Study Support, Work Experience, Supervision, Appraisal and Workplace Development, Training Records and Continuous Development of Staff. In order to receive accreditation at this level, employers must provide full financial support and be able to demonstrate senior management commitment to the training and development of employees.

The ACCA Approved Employer scheme is a 360 degree solution for recruitment, retention and development of Accounting and Finance professionals, who not only come with an in-depth knowledge and skill background, but also deliver to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.

Brandix Mercury Asia welcomed the accreditation which recognizes and validates the experience provided to its associates through a full range of accounting functions ranging from Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Review and Analytics, delivered in an environment practicing international outsourcing standards and norms such as ISO and ISMS (Information Security), providing an opportunity to build their career within one of the fastest growing industries in the country.

Commenting on the accreditation, the CEO of Brandix Mercury Asia Mr. Kishan Jayasekera stated: "In a knowledge intensive industry such as ours, the technical skill and competency of associates are crucial ingredients in delivering value to clients. At Brandix Mercury Asia, we are committed to providing a platform on which associates can build a career, whilst nurturing professional growth. We support professional education of student associates, through our Grooming Young Minds (GYM) initiative - providing financial assistance towards all study related expenses for the first two years of employment. Establishing partnerships with professional institutes such as ACCA is important to us both in terms of building capacity and validating the exposure we provide to students. We are delighted to receive the ACCA Platinum accreditation under Approved Employer - Trainee Development stream, recognizing our commitment towards nurturing young talent".

Ms. Nilusha Ranasinghe, the Head of ACCA Sri Lanka, lauded Brandix's proven commitment and dedication towards training and development, employee retention and talent cultivation and said that this strategic partnership will indeed have a remarkable impact on their business value. She acknowledged that "It was a pleasure to have collaborated with Brandix Mercury Asia on this process. From the beginning, it was evident that Brandix has a robust and structured training and development system that successfully supports and develops their trainees and we warmly congratulate them on their achievement. As a benefit of being an approved employer, all ACCA trainees and members working for Brandix, will have access to ACCA's specialist resources customized for learning and development of finance and accountancy professionals. This will significantly enhance the mutually beneficial cooperation between ACCA and Brandix in the sphere of increasing financial experts' training and qualification standards".

Brandix Mercury Asia's Manager - Training Engagement and Development, Ms. Thilini Ekanayake expressed delight at receiving the accreditation and said "... the partnership with ACCA will not only provide us access to products specifically customized for approved employers, but also provide a platform for us to increase awareness of the opportunities within this industry and, as such, look forward to collaborating with ACCA towards capacity building".
