Lal Fonseka, a long standing Consultant to top apparel exporter Brandix, recently launched his eighth book titled 'Akanda Vardanaya' (Continuous Improvement) which focuses on achieving success through Kaizen principles.
Brandix Group CEO Ashroff Omar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and a number of other representatives from the Group also attended the event in a gesture of support to Mr. Fonseka and in appreciation of the services rendered by him to the Group.
Mr. Fonseka has provided consultancy services to Brandix on a range of subjects including the '5s' system, quality circles and implementation of Kaizen principles and cost reduction measures. A qualified ISO Consultant and Lead Auditor from IRCA (UK), he has played an instrumental role in supporting numerous initiatives at Brandix over the years aimed at obtaining ISO compliance including the ISO 27001:2005 (Information Security Management System) certification for Brandix Mercury Asia.

Mr. Fonseka's new book is published and distributed by Sadeepa Publishers. It features a number of international icons who have achieved success through their commitment to the Kaizen principle and provides guidance on how to put the principle into practice.
Earlier this year, Brandix Associate Ms. Renuka Bandaragoda also launched her third book with the support of the Group.
Mr. Fonseka possesses over 25 years of experience in financial accounting and management, internal auditing, human resources development, administration and quality management. A leading expert in his field, he has undergone training in Japan, Singapore, South Korea and India.
