A sustainable positive legacy for the continuity of the planet

The Brandix Promise

Environmental imperatives have played a strong role in the evolution of our organisation since inception and have remained imprinted on our corporate consciousness. This awareness has led to the determined adoption of innovative technologies and processes to minimise the environmental impact of manufacturing operations. Our SBUs have been inspired by this perception to achieve global certification, which in some cases have been the first such regional endorsements within their fields. Such criteria and their industry recognition have enabled us to identify a key area of focus for us to continuously set precedents in environmental management and conservation These concerns have piloted the Group to establish water and energy as our sustainability platform.

...we will passionately pursue an agenda that minimises any negative environmental impact of our business, as we endeavour to endow those who follow with a positive legacy for the continuity of the planet

In the global market place, continuously meeting and exceeding global standards is of the essence and one of our company's constant goals. We understand the parallels with enticing brand names to become strategic long term partners; partners who recognise and acknowledge our best practices. However, best practices, standards and certification alone are not sufficient to become a truly responsible global player. We as a company must be a key advocate of sustainable development. As a first step towards this, Brandix became signatories to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and is committed to following and propagating its principles.

The next stage will see a 'Green Plan' drive a more holistic and inclusive environmental thrust. Some initiatives have already begun and will provide opportunities for all our associates to contribute to their success. In determining our carbon footprint, we will passionately pursue an agenda that minimises any negative environmental impact of our business, as we endeavour to endow those who follow with a positive legacy for the continuity of the planet.

"We are aware that there is a high incidence of chronic renal failure and other water-borne diseases attributed to the high levels of fluoride in the water in parts of the North Central Province and the North Western Province. Brandix has done some excellent work to help communities tackle this problem, and Deutsche Bank is pleased to support this project and work with Brandix to improve the quality of life of people in affected areas"
